ok so i have been going back and forth about telling this story since i know i am going to get crap from everyone.  especially andrew jordan.  so friday we went to breakfast at bob evans.  i left my iphone on the table.  shortly after we left i realized i couldn’t find my phone.  the next morning i remembered the last place i had it.  bob evans.  so i went up their with the hopes someone turned it in.  someone did!  our waitress found it and gave it to her manager.  they went in the back to get it from the safe.  the manager came back out and said, ‘well someone came up and said it was theirs last night’.  i couldn’t believe it.  the hostess said i was the talk of the night that i was dumb enough to leave my iphone and that she heard people say if no one claims it, they were taking it.  so i guess someone overheard that there was an iphone that someone left and pretended that they lost one.  bob evans did everything right accept ask for any kind of identification.  the manager said that the person was very specific about the type of iphone so he thought it had to be his.  he said it was 8gigs and had a camera.  THEY ALL DO!!!  so i filed a police report, called corporate because they could have done a few things to verify it was his.  anyway, monday morning i got a call from bob evans and they gave me $500 for a new iphone!  thank god!  i leave things everywhere and need to be better with that.  i even played a prank on andrew because he left his phone on the table for anyone to steal.  so if you are in the cleveland area and you overhear some asshole saying he got a free iphone with pictures of MY family all over it, shoot me a note.  i need to beat someone down.  thanks!

were not the most religious family but we do believe in the power of prayer. if you can find it in your heart we could really use some prayers our way. our grandfather ‘papa’ is in the hospital right now getting ready for surgery. i personally don’t know a lot of information but i know things aren’t that great. he went into the hospital last week and got sent home. after he was home he was rushed back up. apparently he has something wrong with the flow of blood in the heart.

this week i am going to feature one of my favorite photographers in the business. jessica strickland.

the first time i saw her work i was a fan. her bright, vivid colors and her ability to capture amazing portraits drew me in. i am so excited to say she will be photographing jackie and i while we are in vegas as we need some updated pictures.

wow, who said you can’t redo your kitchen in two weeks? the countertops came this morning. after a few min of trying to figure out how to get them on the cabinets i got to work. one hour later it was time to cut out the hole for the sink. a very stressful job. mess that up and it all goes in the garbage. after a few cuts it was in. a few hours later the sink was bolted down. now to the plumbing. i now really have a great respect for plumbers. man, i would not want to deal with that project ever again. kudos to you plumbers! once it was all done i enjoyed a nice GLASS of ice tea. washed my hands in my new sink and was excited to do dishes again. it’s amazing at how much you miss everyday things when you don’t have them. no more plastic cups and paper plates! a little bit of molding, blacksplash and electrical but at least it’s functionable. off to bed. peace.
